stain to paint

When applying paint to stained wood work we thoroughly sand the wood to cut through the layer of varnish then apply some de-glosser so the primer has a surface to stick to, creating a lasting foundation. We then applied a water soluble primer from benjamin moore’s selection. To finish, we applied two coats of benjamin moore’s advance latex trim paint giving the trim a lasting, hard outer shell. The color is an off white, with a minor tint of yellow and black, called acadia white, which ties in very well with the hardwood floors. Straight white would clash, giving an unpleasant contrast with this specific wood stain color. The walls, eventualy will be mostly mute grey colors.

This shift will update a house’s look, making it more modern and refreshingly crisp!
